Mozambique 2008

Project Compassion visits developing nations on an invitation-basis, responding to requests from individuals that directly work with the country's natives. Through a strong network of dedicated individuals, we are able to bring our proven and invaluable service directly to the point of need. Most often the clinic site is in a very rural and remote location where medical care is limited or inaccessible.

Mexico 2008

Huatulco, Mexico
March 2008

What an amazing trip Hualtulco was! Though we were just a small team of 12 we were able to see nearly 500 people in only 4 days! We traveled to 4 different clinic sites, each site with its own story to tell. The team had incredible unity and built memorable friendships with the local pastor and volunteers. Once again we had a great time working with Al Zamacona, our host missionary. In fact, this past trip marked the 8 year anniversary of Project Compassion Oaxaca, a branch off ministry started by Dr. Alberto.

It was a lot of work but as Dr. Al believes: No hard work should go un-rewarded! He found amazing accommodations for us at a beautiful hotel with delicious food, a relaxing swimming pool, and even a kitchenette where his wife taught us how to make home-made guacamole "the right way". Located right in the center of town, we were able to take nightly excursions to authentic Mexican restaurants and ice cream parlors, as well as get essential tourist shopping done. The trip was finished off in style as we spent a day at a nearby beach and ate fresh fish caught that morning. We hope some of you will join us next year, it is a guaranteed vacation with a powerful purpose.
